Candace OwensBrigitte, the Barrister, and the Blabbermouth: Candace Gets Sued in French

Filed under: Pop Culture, Lawsuit Lunacy, Tinfoil Tiara Awards

Well, file this one under absolutely no one asked for this: French First Lady Brigitte Macron is suing American commentator Candace Owens for defamation. Why? Because Candace, never one to whisper when she could scream, spent eight podcast episodes insisting Brigitte is secretly a man named Jean-Michel.

Yes, really. This is where we are in the year of our Lord 2025.

Let’s just get this out of the way: Brigitte Macron may not be a man… but honey, if we’re handing out lawsuits, maybe she ought to sue her plastic surgeon first. That’s the real crime scene.

Candace Owens Sells Conspiracies, Brigitte Macron Sells a Lawsuit

But just when you think it couldn’t get any more absurd, here comes Candace Owens, sprinting past sanity with a T-shirt that reads Brigitte Macron is definitely a man and a merch line to match. Because nothing says “truth-teller” like monetizing a conspiracy theory that would make Alex Jones pause and say, girl, are you okay?

PARIS (AP) — A lawyer for France ‘s first couple said they’ll be seeking “substantial” damages from U.S. conservative influencer Candace Owens if she persists with claims that President Emmanuel Macron ‘s wife, Brigitte, is a man.

The lawyer, Tom Clare, said in an interview with CNN that a defamation suit filed Wednesday for the Macrons in a Delaware court was “really a last resort” after a fruitless yearlong effort to engage with Owens and requests that she “do the right thing: tell the truth, stop spreading these lies.”

“Each time we’ve done that, she mocked the Macrons, she mocked our efforts to set the record straight,” Clare said. “Enough is enough, it was time to hold her accountable.”

The Macrons have been married since 2007, and Emmanuel Macron has been France’s president since 2017.

In a YouTube video, Owens called the video an “obvious and desperate public relations strategy,” and said the first lady is “a very goofy man.”AP News

The Lawsuit Heard ‘Round Delaware

The Macrons filed a 219-page complaint. In Delaware. Over a French lady being called a man. Because apparently, international diplomacy now runs through Joe Biden’s favorite state.

They accuse Candace of running a “global humiliation campaign.” And I mean—fair. If you’ve heard even one episode of Candace’s fever-dream docu-rant Becoming Brigitte, you’d know it’s less journalism and more unmedicated live-stream.

According to Candace, Brigitte is really her brother Jean-Michel, Emmanuel Macron is a CIA-backed mind-control puppet installed by MKUltra, and their marriage is incestuous. Because apparently, her tinfoil hat comes with a matching handbag.

I would say “you can’t make this up,” but Candace very much did.

This Ain’t About Truth. It’s About Clicks.

Let’s not give Candace too much credit. This isn’t some sly grift or media strategy. She believes the nonsense she’s spewing. That’s what makes it worse. She’s not just chasing clicks—she’s crusading with the conviction of a woman who read one Reddit thread at 3 a.m. and decided it was gospel. It’s not merch-driven malice. It’s delusion wrapped in designer camo.

Is Brigitte Macron a man? No. Is that the point? Also no.

The point is to stoke outrage, sell T-shirts, book speaking gigs, and keep the content mill churning. It’s a political soap opera with Candace in the starring role, lipstick applied with a shotgun and ego the size of Versailles.

And here is Candace responding to the lawsuit –

But the Macrons Aren’t Exactly Blameless

Look, if someone called me a man on the internet, I’d laugh, block, and rewatch When Harry Met Sally—because clearly, I’m the leading lady. But the Macrons have opted for international legal warfare instead. Because clearly, this is the hill to die on in French politics.

It’s not riots in the streets, radical Islamic violence, or even economic collapse; it’s Candace Owens that pushed them over the edge.

Nope. The true threat to the Fifth Republic? Candace Owens with a podcast mic and too much free time.

🧑‍🏫 The Real Scandal Isn’t Gender—It’s Grooming

Let’s back up for a second. You know what’s actually scandalous? That Brigitte Macron is 25 years older than her husband, and she was literally his drama teacher at a Jesuit boarding school when he was 15. Forget Candace’s deranged podcast series—how about a real exposé on elite French grooming culture? She was a married mother of three. He was a teenager writing her love letters. And somehow she ends up First Lady, not in jail. If the roles were reversed, Emmanuel would be wearing an ankle monitor—not a presidential sash.

💉 Don’t Sue Candace—Sue Your Surgeon

And while we’re talking about poor judgment, let’s address the actual defamation of Brigitte’s character, whoever took a scalpel to her face. Candace may have crossed a legal line, but Brigitte’s plastic surgeon? That’s the real villain of the story. The cheekbones are fighting for air. The lips look like they lost a bet. If Brigitte wants to make an example of someone, she should start with whoever convinced her that tight = youthful and frozen = elegant. That’s the only transformation worth litigating.

Final Thoughts: Let Them Eat Lawsuits

This whole mess is like a baguette made of crazy: stale, overbaked, and full of holes.

Candace Owens has lost the plot and probably the receipts. The Macrons are acting like Versailles Karen and Ken, storming the legal gates with all the fury of a couple who just got roasted at a dinner party. And the rest of us? We’re just watching with popcorn, praying someone brings back dueling pistols and powdered wigs, because at least that was entertaining.

Tired of America’s usual disasters? Great—France brought dessert. And yes, it’s cake made of lawsuits and lunacy.
